At Derock Ministries, we believe in empowering young people with practical skills that can improve lives and create opportunities. As part of our commitment to sustainable development, we actively participated in the three-week Solar Panel Installation Training held at the Liberia Opportunities Industrialization Center (LOIC) in Gbarnga, which began on March 3, 2025.
While we were not the hosts of this program, we proudly supported and sent students to attend this valuable training. This initiative provided participants with hands-on experience in solar energy installation, helping them gain the technical knowledge needed to work in Liberia’s growing renewable energy sector.
Equipping Students with Solar Energy Skills
During the three-week training, our students and other participants learned essential skills, including:
✅ Understanding solar energy and photovoltaic (PV) systems
✅ Designing and assessing solar power setups
✅ Installing solar panels, inverters, and batteries
✅ Troubleshooting and maintaining solar energy systems
By the end of the program, each participant gained practical knowledge that will help them build careers in solar technology, electrical engineering, and entrepreneurship.
